Wordpress - consuming more energy

I don't think I will abandon my preference for WIX, but I did just complete a Wordpress update for a client and learned a few critical steps. The first and most important is that you buy into a Wordpress subscription that allows you to "stage" your website. This means create a full copy offline so you can install or update plugins, update themes, etc. without the risk of breaking the production (live) site. There is also PHP which needs to be upgraded. Wordpress exposes you to programming language nuances so be prepared for that. The block style (Gutenberg) editor does not let you size, you are limited to the theme you select. Lastly (and most importantly) Wordpress sites need to be constantly maintained for theme and plugin updates to retain security. I would consider this a weekly task.
