I began my art “training” in oils in fifth grade, when a local Santa Barbara, CA artist opened up her garage to teach kids after school. I completed art classes at Dos Pueblos Senior High in Goleta CA.  I started working with computers in the late 80’s. I attended UCLA in and obtained a BA in Mathematics, which at the time was a path into the computer industry. I established a career in aerospace, completing an MS in Computer Science at USC, and finishing the Executive Program in Management at the UCLA Anderson School of Management. Fast forward 30 years and my creative side called me to explore art as computer-based expression. I entered OTIS College of Art and Design in Los Angeles, and completed my Certificate in Graphic Design in 2015. After thirty years, I moved from my home in Redondo Beach, CA to Oro Valley, AZ in October 2021, and I joined Southern Arizona Arts Guild (SAAG) in July 2022. I am enjoying the local art scene and working on desert oil paintings now. I have experience in developing logos and branding, print related production, website development and acrylic / oil painting.
